Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Belmont Labs Inc. ("Belmont Labs", "we") for using DeX Agent — the iPhone app and the service behind it. By creating an account you agree to them. If you are using DeX Agent for a company, you confirm you have authority to agree on its behalf.
1. What DeX Agent is — and isn't
DeX Agent is an assistant that shows you information from your calendar, your bank accounts and your servers, and answers questions about it. It is a convenience and a view, not a system of record.
- It is read-only with your bank. DeX Agent cannot move money, pay bills, or change anything at your financial institution. Balances and transactions are shown as your bank reports them to Plaid and may lag or differ from your bank's own records.
- It is not financial, legal or tax advice. Dex's answers are generated by an AI model from the data available to it. They can be incomplete or wrong. Check anything that matters against your bank, your accountant or your own records before acting on it.
- Server monitoring is informational. Health checks can miss problems or report them late. Do not rely on DeX Agent as your only monitoring for anything critical.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older. Keep your password private and your device secured; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at security@dex-agent.com if you believe it has been compromised. Business account owners are responsible for the people they invite.
3. Linking a bank
Bank connections are provided through Plaid. When you link an account you authorize Plaid to retrieve your balances and transactions on our behalf, read-only, and you agree to the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. You may only link accounts you are authorized to access. You can unlink at any time in the app.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use DeX Agent to break the law, to access accounts or servers you aren't authorized to access, to interfere with the service or other users, or to reverse-engineer or resell it. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
5. Your data
Your data is yours. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. You can delete your account and all of its data from inside the app at any time.
6. Our service
We work to keep DeX Agent available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Dex's answers will be correct. We may change or discontinue features, and we will give reasonable notice of anything that significantly affects you.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Belmont Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from decisions you make based on information shown in DeX Agent. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using DeX Agent and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. Sections 5 through 9 survive termination.
9. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Belmont Labs Inc. is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before bringing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@dex-agent.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms materially we will tell you in the app and by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use DeX Agent after that date means you accept the new terms.
